Verbio, headquartered in Germany, is a leading producer of biofuels and bioenergy. Since launching biofuel production in 2001, the company has grown to employ approximately 1,400 people across Europe, Asia, and North America. Verbio produces biodiesel, bioethanol, and biomethane (renewable natural gas), as well as animal feed, organic fertilizers, and other high-value co-products for the nutrition, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries - all on an industrial scale. The company’s success is built on innovative, energy-efficient production processes developed in-house.
Verbio is committed to strong partnerships with regional agriculture, sourcing feedstocks primarily from within a 50- to 75-mile radius of each production facility. By working closely with local farmers and agricultural partners, Verbio helps strengthen rural economies while supporting sustainable and resilient supply chains.
In January 2018, Verbio established its U.S. subsidiary, VERBIO North America (VNA), to develop, own, operate, and finance biofuel production facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
