Bioethanol

Ethanol is used around the world as a renewable transportation fuel, and its use as a gasoline substitute and blending component has grown significantly in recent years.

Bioethanol is an alcohol-based fuel produced through the fermentation of sugar- and starch-containing feedstocks. It is made from grain sourced from regional agricultural partners, including grain that may be unsuitable for food production or animal feed. The primary market for bioethanol is the fuel industry, where it is blended with gasoline to reduce emissions and increase renewable fuel content.

Verbio has developed a proprietary cold-mashing process - an energy-efficient production technology that requires only minimal heating compared to conventional bioethanol production methods.

The company has also developed a unique technology that converts thin stillage, a co-product of bioethanol production, into biomethane and a nutrient-rich ammonium sulfate fertilizer solution.
